Windermere Community Church - Real, Relevant, Relational

Windermere Ministries Local Missions

In an effort to better meet the local, state and national mission opportunities that God provides for us, the three campuses of Windermere Ministries are seeking to bring all of these efforts together in one area under the direction of Steve Groves, Local Missions Pastor. For the present time these local, state and national ministries will be referred to as Local Missions to separate these opportunities from the International Missions so capably administered by Ray Berryman and Auzelio Santini.

Goals
To help define Local Missions we are striving to focus on three goals:
1. Meet people at their point of need and meet those needs.
2. Introduce them to Christ
3. Stay with them and disciple them in daily Christian living.

We hope to meet these goals in several different ways:
1. Utilizing and partnering with existing and established ministries.
2. Providing volunteers when needed
3. Utilizing budgeted funds and designated gifts when appropriate.
4. Prayer
5. Encouragement

One of the most important parts of a successful Local Missions Program is communications. With three different campuses this sometimes presents a challenge. But, with your help and support we are confident that we can keep everyone up to date through:
1. E-Messenger
2. Special E-mails dedicated specifically to ministry needs
3. A local missions catalog
4. Working with and through the ABF small groups.

Funding
It should be made clear at the beginning the all mission funding is provided from and works through the annual budget. Obviously, as ABF small groups seek out and develop programs to meet specific needs, they may be required to handle the funding of these projects on their own. Fund raising has very specific requirements and must be approved by the church leadership. This is separate from the mission's leadership team. Before taking on a project is it recommended that you check with Steve Groves to see what is available in the area you are looking to become involved with and what resources are available to assist you.

Approval
All local mission efforts should be cleared through the Local Missions Pastor, Steve Groves, who will help coordinate with others who may be able to assist and to help make sure that we are not duplicating efforts. The Local Missions Team will accept the responsibility of keeping the missions calendar up to date and all interested parties informed of the various projects and opportunities. It is also one of the joys of the Mission Team to pray for your project and God's blessing upon all those to whom you will minister.

It is the desire of the Local Missions Team to try and involve everyone in some form of mission activity. We will be working to establish opportunities for all ages including our children's departments as well as the youth and adult groups.

We pray that you will join us this effort and lets all be about God's business!
